Owner and Director
Sarah Bielling is a Jacksonville native. She began her love for dance at Virginia Dell School of Dance under the direction of Michelle Wynn. Her roles in the Virginia Dell Ballets included, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast, Jack and the Bean Stalk, and many more. She began showcasing her own choreography at the age of 15. She attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville for Dance and participated in a Disney internship for entertainment and merchandising. She currently is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. For the last 3 years she has been a dedicated teacher to many students at Oceanway School of Dance and Performing Arts teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, tap, and lyrical. Her Choreography has received 1st Place Awards, Judges Awards, Overall Performance Awards, and Platinum Awards. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, dancing, and more dancing! Her ultimate goal is to provide dance lessons to under privileged children since dance has been a positive influence in her life.
Kendall Messersmith was born and raised in Jacksonville,
Florida and has been dancing since the age of two. She graduated from the dance
program at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 2013 and went on to become a
company member and manager of FSCJ’s dance repertory company, danceWorks. Kendall has been trained in the dance styles
of ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, lyrical, and musical theater. Along with
taking class, she has been teaching
at local dance studios in Jacksonville, volunteering as guest choreographer at
LaVilla School of the Arts with the vocal program, and working as assistant
choreographer for the Summer Musical Theater Experience after previously being
in the program as assistant choreographer for FAME and The Wizard of Oz,
and performer in Hairspray, Peter Pan, and

Trying. Kendall graduated from FSCJ with her Associates in Arts with honors
in the Spring of 2015 and is attending the University of Florida to major in
Elementary Education with a minor in Dance.
Ballet, Modern, Lyrical
Kimberly Docherty was born and raised in Upstate New York when she began dancing at the age of seven. She became a member of "The Young Entertainers," dancing at various charity functions, mayoral elections, and the New York State Fair. In 1973, Kim became a member of the "Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Civic Ballet Company, performing repertoire such as Les Sylfides, Humped-backed Horse, Swan Lake, and Graduation Ball. In 1979, she moved to Toronto, Canada where she attended the Canadian College of Dance. Throughout her three years in college, Mrs. Docherty participated in Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) exams and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D) modern and national exams, where she acquired honors standing both in performance and teaching. She was also awarded "Most Outstanding Student" scholarship. Kimberly became a registered teacher with the Royal Academy in 1981 and has successfully entered her own students in ballet exams throughout Canada and the United States. She has also participated in numerous competitions and conventions and feels that it is a great opportunity for students to learn from world renowned instructors, thereby expanding their own knowledge, experience, and appreciation for the art of Dance.
Shelby is a graduate from Piedmont College with two Bachelor's degrees, one in Theatre and the other in Mass Communications. Shelby has been dancing since the young age of two and instantly fell in love with Tap. However, she isn't your typical tap dancer, RHYTHMIC TAP had her heart. After competing for many years she received an international title for tap dancing. Hip Hop and Musical theater are also among her talents. She has experience with all age levels. Shelby plans to bring a lot of fun and new rhythmic tap moves to Jacksonville. She is happy to call Fascinatin' Rhythm her new dance home.
Miss Leah has been instructing at Fascinatin’ Rhythm since the fall of 2006. She has danced for 20 years at Fascinatin’ Rhythm where she was also a member of the Movin’ Company and Tap Ensemble for 5 years and participated in many competitions, conventions and local area shows. She attended classes in New York City at both Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center. Miss Leah is a school teacher for Duval County Public Schools. She was also a cheerleading coach at Hendricks Day School for two years which led her team to be the 2004 Division State Champs! She received her Bachelors Degree in Community Health with a minor in Exercise Science in 2010 from UNF. She won numerous choreography awards from regional competitions such as Nexstar, Starpower and VIP. In 2010 She received a Style Award from VIP Dance and in 2011 she received the Best Regional Choreographer Award from Applause Talent. In 2012, she continued her success with multiple choreography awards at regional competitions as well as her dance “Nine Crimes” being awarded Overall Regional Champion at VIP Dance.
Ms. Sara was born in England. She is married and has three children, including two daughters who have danced at the studio. Ms. Hamlin attended College in London. While in London, Ms. Sara studied with Ballet Rambert for 4 years. After moving to the United States, Ms. Hamlin studied at The Rochester School of Ballet. She continued her dance education at the Gainesville School of Dance for 3 years. Sara has danced at Fascinatin’ Rhythm for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Jacksonville Country Day School Board of Parents for 4 years, has chaired and assisted with numerous charitable functions including fundraising for the Florida Theatre, and has been with Derek J. Hamlin M.D. Corporation for many years. She is wonderful with the young children and we are thrilled to have her as an instructor at Fascinatin’ Rhythm
